An annual contribution of $50.00 entitles exposure on this page or the archive links (one or the other), and $100.00 for both.  Sponsors who contribute 20 photos of hibiscus varieties (preferably with the information listed for cvs in the archive), will receive a 20% discount (first year only) for each 20 photos provided, up to a maximum of 100%.  Concerning such photos: 1) one must first confirm that a photo of the cv in question is desired by the IHS for its cv archive by sending inquiry to

Exotic Hibiscus ships world wide to both individuals (retail) and wholesale. They are setting up dealers in Europe, the Far East and New Zealand, but production is just starting. Exotic Hibiscus features many of Curt Sinclair's new hybrids, many exclusive from him or direct from the breeder. All info is on the web site.





Hibiscus World, as the name implies, is a hibiscus specialist and grower as well as a qualified horticulturists, which caters to both the wholesale and retail trade. It is one of the largest hibiscus specialist growers featuring one of the greatest ranges of hibiscus ever offered for sale. They are importers and exporters (national and international) with nearly 30 years of hibiscus experience. Patricia and Christopher Noble who own the two Hibiscus World nurseries are well know as being"obsessed with hibiscus".

Hibiscus World caters to both the public and trade (landscapers, retail nurseries, garden centers, other wholesale nurseries) Australia wide, providing same week delivery on mail order service. They culture all forms of hibiscus from cutting grown to grafted plants in liners (tube stock), pots , advanced containers, topiary standards, hanging baskets. They also cater to special orders and contract growers and accept credit card payment.

Hibiscus World is a proud member of the nursery associations in Australia (QNIA, NIAA & NGIA) and the leading hibiscus societies of the world including the International Hibiscus Society, American Hibiscus Society and Australian Hibiscus Society (past President and life time member of the latter). They are also recognized importers and exporters, qualified horticulturists with Associate Diploma of Horticultural and Applied Science and sanctioned pest inspectors. They have been involved with publishers, having submitted scientific hibiscus data for various books and magazines and written articles on hibiscus for publication and distribution. They have been invited for appearance on national television, radio shows, been interviewed for personal profiles in gardening publications and been an invited speaker at business luncheons lecturing on marketing and application of successful business management skills.

Hibiscus World caters to Garden Clubs and activity groups at their retail nursery, where for the day, members of these organizations enjoy hibiscus talks and demonstrations, barbeque lunches and a walks through the ever blooming display gardens.

Christopher Nobel is currently the recognized International Hibiscus Registrar (over 7,800 cultivars listed). He is responsible for the management of hundreds of mass bloom displays at public venues like shopping centers and garden shows through out Australia. His nurseries utilize "state of the art" production management tools and skills and the most modern potting and grafting machines. All plants are grown pathogen free and presented in color coordinated pots. They produce and print tailor made pictorial labels and barcodes for marketing of their products, providing a standard of quality that they are proud to put their name on.

Some of the latest Hibiscus World seedling releases from abroad are:

Tigerama - recently awarded the American Hibiscus Societies HOTY, Hibiscus Of The Year, award for the year 2001. It is a wonderful upright grower with large single 7 to 8 inch bloom with a deep crimson eye, coffee brown body and tones of radiating red.

Capistrano - the American Hibiscus Society HOTY winner for the year 2000, it is a strong bushy plant and heavy bloomer with heavy textured, large single 8 to 10 inch blooms in shades of pink.

Some of their latest Australian seedling releases are:

Pink Bouquet - bred by Allan Little, which is a good strong growing, full double bloom of about 6 to 7 inches with contrasting light and dark pink petals - a truly unique beauty.

Little Santa - bred by Richard Mansbridge, which is a strong upright grower, ideal for pot culture or planting in the garden. It is an extremely good bloomer, with a miniature to medium sized single bloom of 4 to 6 inches dressed in a deep rosy red with a pure white border.

Emerald Isle - bred by Peter Van Duyn, is a strong busy grower and very prolific bloomer that has a very large, 8 to 10", single bloom with a dark red eye and petals in a unique mustard color which exhibits hints of green as it ages.

Hibiscus World is truly a hibiscus specialist in every sense of the term. They grow all the best Australian native and deciduous hibiscus and many other hibiscus family species from around the world.
