IHS MOTY Member Of The Year
Point System

To encourage interaction and active participation, the IHS has developed this program to honor the member who has contributed the most in a given calendar year based on that member which has accumulated the most points.  Details of this program are as follows: 

1. Compensation:

A.    Excluding the inaugural IHS MOTY awardees, those that follow will receive a   permanent plaque to honor their service to the IHS.

B.
He or she will receive the choice of: (for the year 2000 winner)

1. Five cvs of their choice from either a US or Australian supplier, excluding   international air freight charges – subject to applicable service of agriculture requirements which must be arranged by the IHS MOTY awardee.

2.
A cash award of $100.00 US.

3. A genuine unmounted Tahitian cultured pearl worth several hundred US dollars on the retail market.

2.To be eligible one must be a valid IHS member at the end of the calendar year under consideration, which is synonymous with being a member of the IHS mail list.

3.The IHS MOTY award will go to that person who has accumulated the most points in a given calendar year starting with the year 2000 and to be announced at the beginning of each following year.

A. 1 point for every cv photo provided (preferably along with the associated information as per archive format).  On must first: 1) confirm that a photo of the cv in question is desired by the IHS for its cv archive by sending inquiry to purdiejj@optusnet.com.au and 2) provide said photo (s) as per the understanding and instructions in Photo Competition Program, #7.

B.1 point for complete information for every 5 cvs (see archive format), valid for any cv in the archive for which such information is lacking.

C.5 points for every 20 IHS mail list communications during a calendar year.

D. 5 points for every entry into any photo or cyber show events.

E.10 points for honorable mention in any photo or cyber show events.

F.15 points for best of show in any photo or cyber show events.

G.15 points for each sponsor signed up by a member.

H.15 points for persons serving on any committee.

4. A committee may be appointed to oversee this program.  This committee will be empowered to modify this program.  Any changes that have been made may be rescinded by a majority of members who choose to vote.  This committee will referee any related points of contention concerning the selection of an awardee.  Failing the formation of such a committee, this roll will be reserved for the IHS administrator.
